Position Summary
- Responsible for overall Export and Import operations in MAB Advanced Cargo Centre (ACC), KL/A to achieve the performance standard performance and in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policy and procedures.
Key Accountability
- Plan, develop, organise, and manage the Export and Import operations in MAB Advanced Cargo Centre (ACC), KL/A to achieve the performance standard and customer satisfaction.
- Direct plans for control and enforce safety, regulatory, operational, and financial procedures in compliance to
- the various company and other regulatory bodies.
- To control and enforce operational procedures in compliance to all regulatory and statutory bodies
- Motivate and develop staff potential and maintain staff discipline through proper guidance and counselling with the view of achieving high level of work productivity.
- Maintain excellent rapport to the industry players which include freight forwarders, customer airlines
- To promote safety awareness for the company, employees, vendor, and the workplace
- To manage department budget and resources for efficiency and cost
- Review the Standard Operating Procedures and work processes (IMS system) to meet the requirements of the industry for continuous improvement.
- Monitor the vendor performances as per service level agreement (SLA)
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree/ Diploma in any discipline
- minimum of ten (10) years related experience
Area of Experience
- Cargo/Logistics handling
Personality Traits
- well versed in ops of fully automated cargo terminal with volume 500,000 tonnes and above per annum
- highly skilled and experienced in cargo terminal SOP, regulatory compliance, safety and security requirement for terminal ops
- Excellent rapport to the industry players which include freight forwarders, customer airlines, shippers and importers as well as regulators
- Good analytical and tactical skills to forecast an plan operations under normal, peak and BCP conditions
- Ability to effectively lead and command <500 staff and vendors for running a 24x7 operations and middle management
- Well versed in cargo processing system which is LMS, CWIS, IATA DG Check, Cargo IQ, CARGO IMP, etc
- Plan for budget and resources to execute operations and achieve operational excellence
- high EQ to handle staff of various background, age and skills
- Firm to implement change management and enforce discipline among staff and vendors
- Well respected and to be the point of reference for staff and vendors working in import and export units.
- Able to plan and implement initiatives in line with company aspiration ESG/ system replacement/ automation and digitization/ SS / GDP/ IATA CEIV/etc
- Effective stakeholders management - management reporting, analysis of trends, conduct presentation and preparation of MP
- Highly experienced in IMS ( QMS/ EMS/SMS) as subscribed by MK
